Marnie is passionate about building cities that work for everyone.
She has worked in multiple global cities over the past two decades including Sydney, Toronto, New York, Vancouver and Athens – in the areas of urban planning and policy, strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and government relations, bringing national and international coalitions and networks together to advocate for local solutions to global issues.
Her extensive background in municipal government includes experience with urban policy files including climate adaptation and mitigation, rapid transit, sustainable transportation, affordable housing and refugee integration.
Marnie has worked with Mayors, Members of Parliament and the United States Congress, and the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
Marnie is an Associate with the Simon Fraser University Centre for Dialogue, and a member of the United Nations Association in Canada (UNAC).
Marnie has been a long-term volunteer with The HOME Project — a non-profit organization providing shelter for unaccompanied refugee children in Athens, Greece.
